Apr. 8, 2013 (China Knowledge) - China saw its exports of textile products and garments jump at a faster pace of 31.6% YoY to US$42.3 billion in the first two months of this year, according to data from the China National Textile and Apparel Council.
The growth rate was 8.3 percentage points higher than the country's overall export growth in the period.
The council said that the growth was nearly 70% driven by export price rises.
From January to February, the 37,000 textile enterprises each with core business revenue of at least RMB 20 million in China realized RMB 847.5 billion in gross output value, 12.1% more than in the same period of 2012. The output of garment enterprises grew 14.2% YoY.
