China: Wenzhou expects to maintain the growth of shoe export at 10%-20%

Shoe exports of Wenzhou, one of China’s largest shoe making city, to the EU has grown 10% compared with a year ago, said Xie Rongfang, General Secretary of Wenzhou Shoe and Leather Association as China Leather Industry Association reported.
Although the EU ended the anti-dumping duty on Chinese leather footwear, monitors are still imposed, and therefore China should be cautious about their shoe exports to this market, added Xie.
Leading Chinese footwear maker Aokang Group saw a 70% increase in its EU shoe order in the first quarter. The Wenzhou Shoe and Leather Association estimates shoe exports from Wenzhou could increase as much as 20% this year.
