US luxury goods company Coach is expected to generate more revenue from its range of premium handbags over the next six years, according to stock research firm Trefis.
Trefis analysts predict that each Coach store will generate $15,600 (£9,500) from handbag sales per day in 2017, compared to the $8,950 (£5,450) it currently earns.
They wrote on the official Nasdaq website: "The shift to fancier bags effectively raises Coach's average bag price to about $300 (£180), from about $288 (£175) during the recession after it launched the lower-priced Poppy line.
"This is likely to provide a boost to Coach's top line resulting in an increase in daily handbag revenue per Coach store."
